Only 80 Bricks a day
We received the brief to create a new brand for a cafe that will be located on the ground floor of the Dr Chau Chak Wing Building in the UTS City Campus’s Haymarket precinct. We first had to come up with a name, and after a couple of weeks of research into the building and architect Frank Gehry, we named it 80 Cafe (80 comes from the average amount of brinks 1 brick layer could lay in a day).
Once we had a name, we then went to work on the strategic positioning and visual design of the brand. It was important to create a brand that referenced the unique building, that was bold, current, and most importantly, represented the style of cafe.
